Participants will have the opportunity of listening to an illuminating talk that will give them fresh insights into the ethos of Mumbai in its various aspects. The lecture will be delivered prior to the Opening Ceremony.

OPENING CEREMONY AND WELCOME RECEPTION
Sunday, 12 October/18:30-22:30 /NCPA
The Opening Ceremony, including a spectacular dance performance, will be held at the Jamshed Bhabha and Tata Theatres, NCPA, to which all participants and accompanying persons are invited. This will be followed by the Welcome Reception in the exhibition area at the Congress venue, where sumptuous Indian cuisine will be available for the delectation of all. As the first social event of IFA 2014, this will be an important networking opportunity.
Transportation will be provided from and back to all the official Congress hotels. Price: included in fee

CULTURAL EVENING
Tuesday, 14 October/ 18:00 - 21:00/Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (formerly Prince of Wales Museum)
Participants can view and enjoy the artefacts in the galleries of the museum, which is one of the premier art and history museums in India. Situated on the southern tip of Mumbai on the 'Crescent Site', the building is a fine example of the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture, and is listed a Grade I Heritage Building. It has been awarded the '2010 UNESCO Asia – Pacific Heritage Award' for Cultural Heritage Conservation.
Musical entertainment and a variety of refreshments will be provided and transportation will be arranged from and back to all official Congress hotels.

GALA DINNER AND CLOSING OF THE CONGRESS
Thursday, 16 October/19:00-23:30/Taj Mahal Palace Hotel
Completed in 1903, the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Mumbai (not to be confused with the fabled monument in Agra) is one of the city's iconic landmarks. Facing the Gateway of India, the hotel has hosted princes, politicians, artists, writers and entertainers throughout its existence. This magnificent hotel is a fitting venue for an evening of music, dancing and fine cuisine for the Gala Dinner and Closing of the Congress.
